Since working at the Red Onion Cafe, my family's life has seen many changes. We have bought a new home, I started going back to school for Respiratory Therapy, and my husband has become a protector of my new hometown, Monroe, Ohio! Last Tuesday i was honored to see my husband introduced to City Council as one of the newest fire fighters for Monroe. I have always been proud of my husband's drive to reach his dreams, and on that night he finally did. It has always been a dream of his to work in the town lives him. He is always saying things like "I want to be able to help my community," and "I would love to know i am helping the people around me." I can think of no other ways in which he can help those he cares for then by responding for medical and fire emergencies! This new chapter in our lives is an exciting adventure i am glad i can share with my community. My husband's new career also has extended our family to include the other fire fighters and their family's in Monroe. Without them we would not be as safe, and secure as we are right now! Thank to you to the those who run into a place where most people run out!
